Norwich Castle

The Story of St George - 19-27 Feb 2011 (10am - 5pm)

Come along and join us as we look into the fact and fiction surrounding St George. Learn about the myths, arms and armour as well as who the real St George was. Event included in museum admission. Suitable for all ages.

Norwich Cathedral

Family Dragon Puppet Making Workshop and St Geroge's Trail - 22 Feb 2011 (10am - 4pm)

Make your own unique dragon puppet with experts from the Norwich Puppet Theatre then hunt the dragons in the Cathedral and cloister with a dragon trail. Aimed at families / carers with children from 3 - 11 years old.

The Great Hospital

Explore and Draw - 21-25 Feb 2011 (9:30am - 3:30pm)

Explore the 15th century Refectory in the Great Hospital and discover the six dragons in the roof beams. Draw and paint all types of dragons with the chance to win a £10 WH Smith gift voucher for the best drawing in the 3 age categories.

Blackfriar's Hall

Meet the Dragons - 27 Feb 2011 (11am - 4pm)

See lizards from around the world together with snakes and tortoises as well as other creatures such as frogs, newts, spiders, beetles and insects. There will be an opportunity to handle some of these animals under supervision. Suitable for all ages.

The Guildhall

Tales of Dick Fools, Death and the Nature of Women - 17 Feb 2011 (3pm - 4:30pm)

The Yarnsmith of Norwich tells tales of fools, women and Death himself, as well as stories of Norwich Mayors, Guild Day and the Dick Fools, who looked after Snap the Norwich dragon.

The event is aimed at adults. However, a similar event for children will take place on 25 Feb 2011. For information on either, and to book, please contact HEART on 01603 599 577 or .

Dragon Hall (and Strangers' Hall & Blackfriars' Hall)

Dragon's Lairs and Homes of Mayors: Heritage and Feast Experience - 19 Feb 2011 (11am - 5pm, 5pm - 11pm)

A packed day of medieval heritage! From 11am-5pm there is a unique chance to visit medieval heritage buildings (Strangers' Hall, Blackfriars' Hall, Dragon Hall). In the evening Dragon Hall hosts a medieval banquet and talk from a food historian.

The Assembly House

Dragons in Camera - 12-27 Feb 2011 (Mon-Sat 9am - 5pm, Sun 11am - 4pm)

Local photographer Vini Pereira will mount a photography exhibition which captures dragons on display around Norwich's historic buildings in a fresh and original way. The exhibition takes place in the Noverre Gallery and is aimed at all ages.

The Cathedral of St John the Baptist

Cathedral Dragons - 26 Feb 2011 (12pm, 2pm & 4pm)

Tour of the Cathedral focusing on dragon sculptures, ending with the opportunity for children to make their own dragons out of recycled materials. This event is aimed at children between the ages of 7-14 and costs £4pp. To book contact 01603 724380.

The Forum

Mustering Magic - 19-25 Feb 2011 (9am - 5pm)

An amazing display of dragons created by community groups from around Norfolk. The centrepiece dragon represents the shared textile history of Norwich and the Low Countries. The winners and runners-up of 'Dragon Quest' will also be on show.
