Concessions are available for visitors with disabilities, over 60s and students.
Visitors with disabilities may bring one companion in free.
Admission to the shop, cafe and Rotunda information desk is free.

Group visits

Groups of 15 or more people can enjoy a daytime visit to the Castle at a discounted admission price. Group visits are offered throughout the year but should be booked as far in advance as possible. Contact the Castle for further information.

Tours

Guided tours of the battlements and dungeons are available throughout the day at an extra charge. (Battlements minimum age 8, dungeons minimum age 5).

Facilities

A café, shop, indoor picnic room and baby change facilities are available.

Accessibility

The museum is accessible to wheelchair users. A video presentation offers an audio-visual introduction to the Castle, battlements and dungeons. Assistance dogs are welcome. All public galleries, the shop and café are wheelchair accessible. There are accessible toilets, induction loops and wheelchairs available for loan.
