A brand new modern art show took place at the Assembly House in August 2011, showcasing new works by artists from Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
The show was a roaring success, attracting almost 2,000 visitors in its first 7 days alone, and over 5,000 people during its month-long run.
Flying Colours, Fascinating Forms featured work from over 150 professional, semi-professional and student artists. The artwork on show was exciting, modern and thought-provoking and produced in a range of media - painting, collage, drawing, ceramics, installations and sculpture.
Each work was created especially for the exhibition, and Norwich's historic Georgian Assembly Rooms played a breathtaking host.
What's more, funded by Norwich HEART's SHAPING 24 project which is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund from the European Union's INTERREG IVA 2 Mers Seas Zeeen Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013, admission to the event was totally free.
