Historic Norwich - a spectacular setting for an enchanting Christmas

Norwich is one of the great heritage cities in Europe, and Christmas is the perfect time of year to make the most of the amazing historic buildings around the city. The beautiful and rich heritage provides a unique backdrop and magical atmosphere to this season's festivities.

The Norwich 12 buildings are coming alive this winter with a special series of events, providing opportunities for shopping, eating, entertainment and getting creative - see the list below to find out what's happening.

More than 40 stalls selling all the antiques, collectables and vintage you need to recreate that old-fashioned Christmas you remember from your childhood. Fair café and bar also open.

There'll be elegant floral wreaths, unique table arrangements, fabulous Christmas cakes, mince pies and Yule logs, as well as hand-made Christmas tree decorations to add that extra sparkle. The Dragon Hall Vintage Christmas Ball

A chance to put on your vintage gladrags and celebrate a retro Christmas at this yuletide extravaganza in the fantastic surroundings of medieval Dragon Hall. Get your feet tapping to music from the He-Hews (you've probably seen them busking outside Jarrold's), have a go at swing dancing lessons with Earl Harlam end enjoy war time jazz style songs from songstress Gill Dean.

DJ 78 will be playing an eclectic selection of popular music from the 20s to 50s rock n' roll as you enjoy a vintage street party style high tea lovingly prepared for you by the wonderful Biddy's Tea Room. Our vintage bar will be open selling a selection of drinks including spirits and real ale, and win prizes in our raffle.

Dress in whatever period style you like and start your Christmas celebrations with a bang.

£30 per person including welcome cocktail and high tea - tickets available from Dragon Hall and Biddy's Tea Room.

Visit our Victorian Father Christmas in his cosy Grotto at Dragon Hall. Enjoy carolling, festive medieval dancing, Saturnalia storytelling, mince pies and a warming brew of Dragon's Tipple ale or mulled wine in our 1950s vintage Christmas bar. Children will get the chance to get crafty making Christmas decorations from past centuries and be treated to a warm glass of kid-friendly Wassail!
