Norwich 12 has supported the publication of a children's adventure book set in and around Norwich Cathedral.

The Three Serpents of the North Door is aimed at 7-12 year olds but will be enjoyed by young and old alike.

It is the first book in the 'City of Light' series, designed to excite and engage children and families with the fabulous history and heritage of Norwich.

Saul Penfold, Head of Education at Norwich Cathedral, has spent the last four years penning the book in his own time. The foreword has been written by the Emma Bridgewater and the book's illustrations are by Jim Kavanagh.

Synopsis

The 3 Serpents of the North Door sees Tom and Emma Buxton embark upon a thrilling journey through time, set within the City of Norwich and its magnificent Norman Cathedral. Meeting a host of weird and wonderful characters along the way, the children attempt to piece together clues that will ultimately unlock the North Door and send them home.

But beware the three serpents! These devilishly treacherous and cunning giant snakes await the unfortunate time traveller and will devour all those who fail in their mission!
